Found this lurking on kissaq.
I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but Stanley and Thayer cut heads around the 9:00 mark.
It's appalling and laughable on so many levels.
For starters, you would think just the gigs alone they've done for five decades would make them play at least somewhat competently.
Nope.
And how ridiculous do they look pointing after every poorly executed blues cliche, let alone acting like they just played something magnificent?
Have you ever heard a festival crowd so quiet?

Terrible! Are there people on KISSFAQ saying it's good? There are some defending it, but I was actually surprised how many were critical of it. That being said, it is hard to defend - it's wretched from start to finish, made worse by all the showboating and posturing. |

I remember cringing hard in 1996 on the reunion tour when Ace played his shitty solo built around Beethoven's fifth. This is just as bad. |

Paul did a laughable solo during their Animalize tour, and I've had Kiss fan friends say that was intended to be a joke. It certainly sounded like a joke, but seeing how proud Paul is of this current abomination, I'm convinced he was serious. Both times. |
