We need someone who's been in a recent Pantera pit to review the action.

It's been scientifically proven that Pantera only appeals to those with a malformed medulla oblangata...

I wouldn't mind seeing this iteration of Pantera. The players are great, and the repertoire deserves to be played and heard.
I still enjoy Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display Of Power and to a lesser extent Far Beyond Driven. I tapped out after that. Sure, it's not the most subtle form of music, in fact it's quite mongoloid but that's the appeal. I saw the real thing in 1994 and it was good, despite the fact that Anselmo was wasted.

It's funny. That pit doesn't look like much in that video, but it was getting increasingly more aggressive through the set. Usually the opposite is true because people get worn out.
But during Cowboys, people were face-planting every 20-30 seconds, and the walls were closing in, and my survival instinct told me to get the hell out. Even in my own videos that pit doesn't look like much. It wasn't a large ruckus pit, but that was by far the most aggressive pit I've ever been in at that venue and it was easily more brutal than the Fits pit in Florida.
I was banged up for a week after that show. My joints and body hurt. I may be getting too old for it.

The NoblemanFits had a pit? Thought their "fans" were just people that bought a shirt at Hot Topic? Figured most had never heard their music. Would show up for the show. Leave once they actually heard them. Did they play Mother?

Misfits have real fans. Some quite Diehard(2, 3 and 4). Crat may be one. I thought I was one until I confessed to liking Graves-fits at a local ghoulfest. Almost got my ass kicked by a guy in Drew Carey glasses. My tall girlfriend saved me. That's the False Fanzig crowd. Those people don't know Danzig was a punk.

Pantera tune called I'm Broken came on while I was Dashing today. Usually I'd skip it but let it play. Other than the ridiculous sounding "Kid" and awful guitar tonight was alright I guess...
