While he might be playing stadiums in the U.S.A., Luke Combs is a lot less famous here in France. In fact, young country singers barely register at all. Unsurprisingly, 98% of the audience was comprised of Americans, which guaranteed a full house (1477 people). First up was a country band I had never heard of called 49 Winchester. They were very good, but also extremely generic and archetypical, down to their name and cowboy hats. You can check out some pics and video of their set by clicking HERE. Then came the star of the evening, and while he doesn't exactly ooze charisma, he managed to tear the roof off the sucker, thanks to a bunch of great songs and an absolutely rabid crowd. I hadn't seen such fervor at a show in a long time. You can check out some pics, video and review by clicking HERE.

Did you enjoy his version of Fast Car? I've heard it so much this past summer while driving around New England that I don't ever need to hear it again, really. It's a fine version, but it brings nothing to the table.
