Damn, Ron got bludgeoned, clobbered, and used in ways contrary to nature. He's done. Ron can you help out here? Normally I would say no.
But in the interests of derailing the Maiden talk, and making ECH have to reroute this thread yet again, I'll say yes.
Facts:
Hot Sauce was not talking about me. He was talking about stringy haired fatties who do KISS conventions. Not godlike badasses who've seen 9000 faces and rocked em all.
Hot Sauce and I are good now. Maybe some things were said in the past, but that's the past. All good, Sauce. I consider him a bro.
BUT - if he comes back and says he IS talking about me, then I invite him to post pix of the groupies, sluts, strippers, and good girls with a wild side he's slayed in his lifetime. I'll go pic for pic of gorgeous bitches posed alongside each of us as a willing prize. Whoever runs out of memories of a live lived as an immortal god first loses.

No Prayer might be one of the weakest entries in their catalog, but I do have some affection for it since it's the one that was current when I discovered Maiden and Metal in general. So it's mostly nostalgia-based for me, but I do enjoy Tailgunner and a few other songs on it. I'll be happy to hear one of them live. And Fear of the Dark (the song) is awesome live. One of the coolest moments in a Maiden show. The whole arena is singing not only the chorus and the verses, but also the guitar riffs and even the guitar solos. I understand why they keep it in the setlist. |

I think they only did the "early years" shows in the US at Ozzfest, so I never got to see those. I did see the Somewhere back in Time show in 2008. It focused on 'Slave, SIT and 7th Son. and of course, inexplicably had FOTD in the set because wadheads like Ech cant resist singing along to the guitar melody.

Note: This is the infamous show during which Sharon Osbourne, wife and manager of Ozzy, coordinated a retaliatory egging against Iron Maiden by her daughter Kelly, some Ozzfest roadies and other so-called fans of the Osbourne camp. Show was stopped multiple times, because the PA went down. Also while Maiden was playing, drunken "Ozzy, Ozzy" chants could be heard from the PA. When Maiden's show was over, Sharon came to the stage and said "Bruce Dickinson is a prick." About half of the 40,000 in attendance left the venue as a protest before Black Sabbath started their concert.
