I think it's tough to be Abilene. So many great rhyming possibilities. Cast your vote or give us a write in. Bonus points if it's not in TX...

I've always liked the sound of the west Texas cities of Odessa and Loraine. In real life they are bleak as hell!

I also like the sound of San Angelo and San Saba, both in Texas.

Coahoma also sounds nice. What's the vibe or subject matter of the song? Probably avoid Denver or Waco.

No, dude. It's gotta be in Texas.
Charley Crockett makes made shout outs to Dallas in his two +NEW+ 2024 records. Best records he's released since 2018's Lonesome as a Shadow.
He also sangs the blues, and he ain't from Memphis.
He's going back to Texas!!

Some of the small ones in the Big Bend area are beautiful. You know, that's possible. I never even heard of Big Bend.
Texas is a big state.

Most reasonably intelligent people have heard of Big Bend National Park, a destination in the state of Texas that I would like to visit... www.nps.gov/bibe/index.htm

And know this.
Most reasonably intelligent people don't blast their brains out with dope daily.
So fuck you.
And then.

where's Corpus Christi?
Mentioned in both Blind in Texas and Type O Negative's Christian Woman!

where's Corpus Christi? Mentioned in both Blind in Texas and Type O Negative's Christian Woman! Beach town (guess it’s technically a city) in TX. All I know. Texas beaches suck. I stick to the Carolina beaches. Type O sucked when I saw them open for Queensryche. Was very odd. Type O played and were ignored by everyone. People walking around. Chatting. Buying merch. Pissing. Guzzling booze. Doing drugs. Fucking. Type O was just playing away in the background. Probably 12,000-15,000 people there.

"If I had a gun, for every ace I have drawn.... I could arm a town the size of Abeline...." Good tune, but I prefer the original offa Jerry Garcia's Garcia album!
