In this debut of The Noble Style Guide, we break down Collective Soul singer guitist, Ed Roland's, attire in the "AYTA" video from 2015. (Special thanks to helluvaguy for bringing the video to the The Noble Style Guide's attention).
The Noble Style Guide Verdict: Mr. Ed Roland is doing a lot right with his look in this video. At the time of the video, Mr. Roland is in his early 50's. The Noble Style Guide appreciates that Mr. Roland is embracing his age with a short haircut and letting his greys through. Mr. Roland wears a well-fitting seersucker suit, and the Noble Style Guide has long embraced and encouraged the stage lapel - especially for the middle aged. (Although stage lapels can and should also be worn by the young - Warrior Soul's Kory Clarke mastered the stage lapel in the 90's, presumably when he was in his 20's.)
Now. The round clear glasses. The Noble Style Guide likes the glasses. They're a little funky, a little out there. But, let's face it, Mr. Roland is hardly a handsome hunk of man. The glasses give him character and an interesting look for the stage. Wearing eyeglasses on stage again demonstrates Mr. Roland confidence in embracing his age.
Criticism. There's little to criticize here. Perhaps the Noble Style Guide would recommend pairing the seersucker blazer with jeans in lieu of the full suit, but we're splitting hairs here.

I agree with your comments about embracing one's age.
Whenever I see Rick Springfield, it's kinda freaky that he looks younger today than he did in 1981.
Sludge would disagree, but I also commend Pat and Neil Giraldo for embracing their age.

 Let's take a look here at my Brother Ballmerman, MattleyCrue.
He'll want to be careful of stains in a white suit. It's a casual look, so the black t-shirt is fine.
The sunglasses. What are those? Wayfarers? Classic.
The suit fits well in the shoulders, but he needs to take it to the tailor. The pants and sleeves are too long. That needs to be fixed.
I understand the kids think they're hip wearing sneakers with a suit, but call me old school. I'd wear dress shoes with that.
The elephant in the room. The belt with the GIANT Gucci buckle. I wouldn't wear that. I'm more subtle. But I have seen these in Vegas, I have. And we've learned from lordspooge that bitches love brands. So, frankly, while it may not be my taste, it may be good for quick dip pussygrabbin' if that's his aim.
Overall, this could use some adjustments but not a bad look for baller service at the club.
