I do appreciate your brevity of late but a note or two about each show and why it made your list would be cool. Or not...

I do appreciate your brevity of late but a note or two about each show and why it made your list would be cool. Or not... Thanks for caring enough to comment! Thing is, I've already reviewed the shows and if you click on the provided links you can read those reviews. I'm also working on a blog post that will recap this year's concerts, although I'm still debating what form it'll take, and there will be more details which will no doubt be riveting. I will say that in regards to the Gogol Bordello, The Prodigy and Luke Combs shows (and even Springsteen), what took them from good or even great to downright exceptional was the fervor of the audience. I've tried to capture that atmosphere in the videos posted at the end of each article but obviously it's not like being there.

Hi again, *ech*.
Feel free to amend the parenthetical in our thread title to read, "(now with numbers)" or "(OB updated to include EE numbers)" or similar.
Thank you.

I will not be doing that, as your ranking does not represent my experience.
I purposely left the list unranked, as explained in the original post, because it's hard for me establish an order. You see, I enjoyed all of those concerts equally, for very different reasons. In some cases (Jesse Malin springs to mind) it even took me a while and some hindsight to appreciate the event to its fullest.
I will say that judged solely on its musical merits, the Hollywood Vampire show would probably rank a little lower than the other nine like you suggested. It was a lot of fun, but it was also pretty... disposable. It is, after all, mainly just a cover band. But what justifies its inclusion in my top ten is my quasi-fanatic appreciation of Alice Cooper, and the fact that I was able to shoot him "professionally" for the first time on that date. It was awesome. There's a picture where Alice is looking directly down my lens... That was exhilarating.
The Luke "Puffy" Combs joke was a nice touch.

Bruce "Hornsby" Springsteen John "Denver" Fogerty The "Guess" Who
Can any of the above be reworked into the Official *egg* 2023 Concert Rankings or is that joke a one-and-done thing?

Those are all great. I can't imagine this excellent joke ever being not funny. It's one of those things that are just too good to ever be ran into the ground. Keep 'em coming! Oh, and it's *ech*, not *egg*, God damn it!

Oh, and it's *ech*, not *egg*, God damn it! Don't be nice to that retart. It was only funny when I did it. My joke came, made people laugh hysterically, and then was over. That's what jokes do. They land then they go over.
Don't encourage others to beat my awesome jokes into the ground.
It's hurting my comedic legacy.

I was thinking Ariana "Venti or" Grande might be a good one.
But I've run into three (3) snags.
1. I don't think *ech* has seen Ariana Grande live in 2023. You'll need to get this accomplished by December 31st, *ech*, thank you, get on it. And Ariana - you're lurking - please perform well enough to displace the Hollywood "No Inserted Name" Vampires from the number 10 slot on the official list.
2. I want everyone to "get" the joke. And whilst therealgws has delivered plenty of these, I'm not sure if he'll understand the reference alluded to in the joke.
3. I don't want to hurt Aristocrat's comedic legacy, so may require some second opinions, and and will possibly stand down, if my +NEW+ joke is considered too devastatingly LOLish.

I was thinking Ariana "Venti or" Grande might be a good one. It is pretty good. But I've run into three (3) snags. Oh no! You are right, I have not seen her live this year. Or any other year. Alas, it looks like she is not touring this year. In fact it appears that she has not toured since 2019. It's possible that the Manchester attack in 2017 might have something to do with that. I suppose I could try to raise enough money to have her perform a private gig for the purpose of your joke... I already found 70 cents in my couch, so that's a start, but I just don't think it can be done by December 31st. I suggest you start thinking of a joke for Hollywood Vampires instead. 2. I want everyone to "get" the joke. And whilst therealgws has delivered plenty of these, I'm not sure if he'll understand the reference alluded to in the joke. It is a rather sophisticated (I know I had to have someone explain it to me) but that's always the problem with this type of highbrow comedy. This is why I stick to toilet humor myself. 3. I don't want to hurt Aristocrat's comedic legacy, so may require some second opinions, and and will possibly stand down, if my +NEW+ joke is considered too devastatingly LOLish. I understand the concern. Or maybe you could join forces and think of new jokes together? Think of the LOLz this could bring.
